There was going to be something I was going to say. But damned if I can remember what it was.

The Ahuizotl has been described as a water-dog with squirrel and otter-like features. It's noted specifically in mythology for its' preference for eating the teeth, eyes, and nails of people and nothing else. And if the Ahuizotl hasn't had a successful hunt and is in need of prey, it will mimic a baby humans' cry to lure adults to the waters' edge. It's a creature I've fallen hard for.
Also? There's just over a week left for you guys to do THIS. I know for certain that one person was working on their list, but I've yet to get a single fic put forward. C'mon people! It's a free gift! No one's making me do this, and all you have to do is make a fanfic rec.
That's it. Just a fic rec. See, easy.

Digging the Icon, I always loved Sobeck :3

It's my mythology icon, taken from when I did a whole page (http://ink-in-hand.livejournal.com/1919.html) of art for him. He's pretty much my favorite of the Egyptian deities (http://www.egyptianmyths.net/section-deities.htm) (had to link, it's a good site), though Buto and Nekhebet are a close second.
