Day fifteen

Of course, as soon as I say in a post that things are going to get better because I'm at heslestor's place, I set fire to their kitchen.

Trying to boil water.

Never have I bungled cooking so badly before. The next worst was mixing up the flour and powdered sugar when I was trying to thicken some leftovers with gravy, I'm not the best of cooks but I can usually count on not ruining my food.

Anyway, enjoy an autobot dinosaur cassette and another prompt filled.

Well, I've been meaning to say that your first post talking about how this week could only get better because you're here gave me the warm fuzzies. Apparently they decided to show up in physical form.

And my brain keeps on wanting to try and make some sort of humanoid outfit out of Saur's design; it's the look of his large front leg/arms, just something about the way the armor looks. Helps that the colors are really good too. *contemplates adding Saur to the cos play costume list*

Oh, and it's also amusing to me that even though Frenzy had many optics, Ravage, the larger cassette, only had one and all of your large cassettes usually have more than two.

It means that the warm fuzzies I was feeling took on a physical form to show you exactly how I felt, apparently they didn't realize how strong they'd be in the flesh, so to speak. And I'm glad you find my place to be so soothing, particularly with you moving in at some point.

I keep seeing the costume with a long coat, almost like a lab coat, with minimal armor under it, and I'm not entirely sure why.

Well, I'm quite fond of the multiple sets of optics as well.

*gurgles* Draw it out? Hehehehe, that'll be interesting. It really doesn't help that I keep seeing the helm design for the human with only a single optic. No, self, there's four. Bah, I'll try and work it out sometime later.

oh honey. definitely not your day. *hugs tight*

Saur, at least, came out wonderfully! i love his itty bitty little forearms and that his middle set of limbs has fingers and still works like legs. <3 and his coloring is gorgeous. :D great work as always, darling!

(and you can consider the remaining cassettes requested until you get bored, run out of cassettes and/or run out of January. ~_^)

*snirks* No, it wasn't. The whole room was filled with smoke and I'm just lucky it was some other stuff on the stove that was burning and nothing else caught fire. All the soot took forever to clean, and we keep finding ash in some really odd places. And thanks.

It's so fun when you give me these guys to turn into movieverse designs, though I really have no idea what to do for the frame types like Frenzy has.

Gave you like the little arms, Saur insisted on em and I thought they were so cool I couldn't say no. Gives the mental image of him at a desk typing away with the things, all the while typing on another, lower, keyboard with his middle set of limbs.

oh, i've had that experience. only i was making pancakes, so there were flames in the pan, too. hopefully the random bits of ash are all gone soon. (mine... weren't. we found some back behind the stove when we moved out of the house years later. -_-')

well, in my head, they're spindly (at least for my 'verse) though not as sharp and pointy as Bay made 07 Frenzy. if that helps you even a little bit.

oh lordy! that's the funniest mental image i've had in days! too priceless!

As much as I love fire and flames, burning something you didn't mean to burn is far from fun. *nod* The kitchen is slowly being cleaned, it helps that I had brought over an air purifier from an earlier trip that hasn't made it's way back to my place yet.

Doesn't help too much, as the typical Autobot frame is less spikier than a Decepticon one and kinda figured that already. It doesn't help that I'm animal oriented in terms of headspace, but thanks anyway.

Since they're bots too and not animals, it figures at least one of them with a no hand frame would give themselves some.

oh yes, that would help. we were fortunate that the kitchen and living room had fabulous air flow when you opened the back door and front windows.

yeah, i didn't figure it would. that animal mind-set is probably a bit difficult to step out of. fortunately, you still have several animal alts left!

Nice, that's always a plus even when you don't have smoke to get rid of.

*nods* There's quite a few there, which makes it much easier for me.

SQUEE! A Zauru!! (Sorry, I'm used to using his Japanese name). He looks great, and thank you for giving him some love :D

Could I request you to share your Autobot Cassette works on [livejournal.com profile] cassetteobots ?

[identity profile] ink-in-hand.livejournal.com 2011-01-18 07:16 am (UTC)(link)
Japanese names are perfectly fine, they're fun when used properly. Been thinking about doing something with him for a while now simply because he's a dinosaur, getting a prompt for Autobot Cassettes simply gave me an excuse.

And sure, no problem. I've got just three so far, so a post won't bog up too many slow computers.

I'd love to see what you do with the other three dino-cassettes.

I know the comm looks sparse now, but I'm looking to change that with a challenge towards the end of the month. I hope you'll consider joining in and taking part once it's up. Autobot Cassettes definitely need more love :D

Don't know if I'm going to do all of them, but they're definitely on my potentials list.

Don't know, if it's towards the end of the month I'm likely to be burnt out from doing a full piece of art everyday for the whole of January. *shrug* Though who knows, my art drive might finally be in full gear by that time.

Also, I'm curious as to how you found my journal. I don't post to a lot of places besides here and you're a new facek.

Thanks!

No worries, it's your call :)

Oh Eerian linked me. She knows I love the Autobot Cassettes so thought I'd like to see some pretty arts.

Ah kay, was wondering where you popped up from. :) Don't get a lot of new commenters and it always makes me curious.
