Logo work for a lighting business some family is trying to start up. Thus the double signature and small size. Gonna switch tracks tomorrow as my wrist is starting to hurt in the overworked way and changing mediums should at least help with that.

(and unfortunately I don't know if I'm gonna get paid for this or not... wheee!)

This one was requested by my dad.a while ago since he thinks his dance group would be interested in this kind of thing.

Had to do a simple thing today since today was Long and Stressful. In part of finally getting hit with winter and I swear the number of people who don't know how to drive increases exponentially when there's snow on the ground.

This is just an inkling of a much larger project between Heslestor and I. One of many we're planning under a combined umbrella name of MoodyCrow Creations. This particular project is tentatively called The Unicorn Gardens.

This is part of a concept we've been working on for the past several months and it's looking on becoming our creative baby. It's been a bit hush-hush since it's gonna be massive and take years before it reaches it's full potential, but been getting itchy about wanting to show something off.

And so, the commonly called Trenchers.

Lost a couple of days uploading due to net provider shenanigans and problems with my tablet driver. Blech. Also had to deal with being overwhelmed and getting sick thanks to everything having a fragrance in stores this time of year and people having no restraint with their perfumes and other sprays. Makes it really hard to focus and do things at a normal pace.

As for today's piece, it's got some backstory. When I was little and just learning the word faux, I thought it was pronounced fox and decided to be clever with my own little created species. Basically foxes with insect wings and antennae. Jump forward over a decade and I can actually make it look nice.

Day 3: Magi Nation Duel - Chaos Jile Ornament

Had a little hiccup trying to get today's piece done, as my tablet didn't want to work and as I was running out of time I'd completely forgotten I can paint a bulb in under an hour. :P (I blame bad drivers on the road today, the entire way home was awful)

And while I had planned on making a Magi Nation clay figure this month, since I found my cards just this last week, I'd also haven't done a bulb for them yet. it also gave me the chance to try out painting on the new blank bulbs I got for christmas, which was much nicer than the old ones I was using. The glass just catches the paint better and it doesn't need as many coats to get the same coverage.

Do need to make a proper photo set up though, what I got is not going to cut it in the long run.

Been really bad at keeping up with this thing, but I'm glad for this challenge bringing me back each year. Dunno how well I'm going to do since it's been really, really rough the last couple of months and it's not going to get better any time soon.



Day 1: Flight Rising dragon, Lelym

Worked on this in little bits throughout the day, wrist is still sore so I'm glad this was so close to being done when drawing really started to hurt. Having to leave off commissions early yesterday had me jittery.

In Flight Rising your primary focus are the dragons, and your dragons can be given familiars. This is my matriarch's bratty little sneak and tattletale of a bluefin charger who does his best to watch the rest of the clan to find things to get them in trouble for.

Eventually Heslestor and I are going to co-run an online craft store by the name of Moody Crow. They're going to have things like homemade dog treats and handcrafted paper, and I'm going to have things like my bulbs and prints of my art. So, to spare my hand a little, I did up the icon we're going to be using.

And yes, that is the asexual flag in the back, as we both identify that way.
