I... lost a fic
Dec. 3rd, 2009 12:57 amEver since I did that picture of a titanium moosebot looming over Dead End, I've been working on a fanfic that's evolved from that snapshot into a full blown story. And I lost it, deleted somehow. What's worse is that the reason I discovered it was gone, I was backing up my files and I couldn't find it. *sigh* I think I spent over two and a half hours exploiting every trick in the book I knew trying to find it again without success. /vent
( So have a depressed moosebot pic )
In other news, I got my first cell phone over the weekend. I've never felt a pressing need for one, even when I went to college. (guess who was pissed when they started getting rid of their payphones) And I didn't even bother activating my messages until today, well, yesterday to be technical. Obviously, I'm one of those doesn't talk to people much types.
Oh! And it finally snowed. Thank Primus. Anyone who doesn't believe in global warming doesn't know how scary it is to have key seasonal weather be over a month late. (or they just don't care, which is scary in itself) And as much as we joke "if you don't like the weather in Michigan, wait ten minutes" this last year has been all over the place. A few of our festivals took me by surprise in their timing because I think of the seasonal changes and climate as temporal markers. And with those screwed up, so was my sense of yearly time.
I also need to gain some weight, at least ten pounds. While I kept my fluids up, I hardly ate at all when I was sick. I also tend to forget to eat when stressed, which I've realized I have been for over the last month, so that didn't help either. It's happened before in various intensities, so I didn't put to much thought into it. But then I knew I had a problem when I had to wait a little while so I could finish my plate at Thanksgiving. Hey self, you can't keep inadvertently starving yourself. You've lost weight like this before remember? You need to eat, but I guess the fact that you didn't drop below a hundred pounds this time is good.

I'm back. Thank you for the kind words of support you guys gave when I said I'd been hit by this bug.
( In which I announce my return through a bizarre comic. )
( ART DUMP!!! )
Now I just need to get to working on all that I missed.

Sep. 5th, 2009 11:35 pmNnng. I want sleep, fraggit, and I've been awake for about 38 hours. But that just let me finish the following pic that teaches one to check if the pillar/support beam is actually non-living. Or at least a living thing that won't mind if you lean against their leg.

Jul. 31st, 2009 05:56 amUnless I'm sick as a dog in the I'll thank you excessively if you shoot me sort of way, I can draw whenever. Even when my mind is too shot for anything else, including working on my messages, I can draw. So while waiting for the migraine meds to kick in so I could maybe get some sleep, I did this.

Yeesh, am I ever on a moosebot kick.

Jul. 27th, 2009 04:11 amFor those not the least bit interested in OC's, I've been playing around with another art program I just found. SAI is both similar and different than OpenCanvas, it has a better blur tool for example while their variety of brushes is not as easy to figure out. The first two pictures are a bit inaccurate, I didn't bother looking for references at the time. (nitpicky artist is very nitpicky)
( Four Pics. )
I've fallen behind on replies. That will be corrected.

You have no idea how sorry I am. I like to think I'm the kind of person who sticks to their promises, but after this I don't know how good my word is for this sort of thing anymore. In addition to more moosebots, is there anyway at all that I can make this up to you?

Just a pic of a personal!canon titanium moosebot(would you believe I'm still having issues with their design?) and personal!canon photovoltaic pussycat. Both of which seem to exist in the TF world due to a single dialog line each. I need to draw them and other cybertronian wildlife more, I barely touched my tablet during my hiatus and that just wasn't right.

May. 7th, 2009 09:58 pmWell, I didn't sell anything during the art walk, but I did make a couple of what look like promising contacts. One of which is the printing store I went to, so this'll be good. And because of that, I now know that the Dennos' Museum(local, right next to Northern Michigan College) is having a small print gallery thing going. Small prints, no bigger than a 5x7, in recognition of the U.S. economy playing merry hell on everyone, especially artists. Michigan as a state is particularly guilty in terms of state rank.
As to not posting for a week, I've been sick. Again. Merg, it feels like I've been sick all through winter, and now spring has decided to compete. Slept for three days straight more or less, and I was too ill to enjoy it too. Friggin hell, can I please be healthy for more than two weeks? *heads off to bed after posting*
( *still fiddling with the moosebot design* )
Also, I'm just going to get rid of my art and fanart tags. There's really no point when I post at least one picture every time, and they're cluttering up my tags area by being ridiculously large. Oh, and melting deer brains smell really weird.

Moosebots on the mind
Jan. 18th, 2009 11:41 pmIt was unforseeable that my interest in them would get this far, they've started taking over. Since I know I'll continue drawing them and I always have something resembling a size guide, this was a must if this is heading where I think it's heading. *artist is just bullshitting an after the fact reason* It''s not that I just plain like seeing visual guides. Nope, not at all.

Jan. 14th, 2009 07:08 pmThis is the reason for my organics drawing spree the last few days, I've been finishing up this puppy. For the longest time I couldn't decide who would be the intimidated mech, as one of the suggestions was someone who'd never seen a Titanium Moosebot before and were taken aback by the sheer size of the thing.
alabaster_demon solved my dilemma by suggesting Dead End in my plea for characters post.

Titanium moosebots have ailerons
Dec. 28th, 2008 04:09 pmYou can blame these on
heslestor . Apparently she's my own personal transformers bunny farm, I've gotten more ideas put in my head from her lately than the actual comm.
