FYI- These are nowhere near completed. They're just getting posted now since I told someone I would. That, and I worry if I don't it'd never happen. They're stubborn afts when it comes to revealing things about themselves, and I'm of the stance that one has to let the characters build themselves without really forcing anything. It takes longer for a character to completely solidify, true, but whatever does show up almost always sticks and stands the test of time.

For kicks I was browsing the toy section and I saw something that just made me stare, turns out there's already a Transformer called Landmine. So my OC is now nameless because I refuse to use an official name for any of my characters. Can I just say frag? Not only is the name already taken, but it belongs to an Autobot. *huffs* Nonetheless, I couldn't help but get him. *weak* So now I've got an Autobot of whom one of my major OC's loathes... My head is a really weird place.

*dances* But look! I was able to draw a transformer face in profile! *happy*

The problem with Landmines. )

Still working on a proper body design for him, I need to really buckle down on that.

Some very old pics of my own Decepticon team back from when I wasn't sure and had very little idea of how to draw transformers at all. That and they're all pretty bland pose wise, I was concentrating on their designs at the time. None of them are quite yet finished, I'm still tweaking their designs here and there.

Brief history is that Megatron makes some sort of comment after the Dinobots foil yet another one of his plans. The Constructicons decide to take it as an order and a challenge, they then build the Sauricons. Beyond just creating individual one-on-one Dinobot heavy hitters, they made the team more animal accurate, and gave them secondary skill sets. In part that it was practical and partly to mock their enemies.

Edit: I failed to mention that during their attempts to outdo the Autobot engineers, the Constructicons overcompensated in their 'fixing' of the Dinobot concept. Leading to a number of flaws on the opposite end of the spectrum.

They are in no particular order...
Sawblade: Transforms into a Giganotosaurus, leader and tactician.
Landmine: Transforms into an Euplocephalus, heavy hitter and terrain analyst.
Torpedo: Transforms into a Tylosaurus, air support and scout.
Batteringram: Transforms into a very large Stymoloch, defense breaker and hacker.
Wardrum: Transforms into a Charonosaurus, communications and make-shift medic.

And on to the image heavy cut. )

This LJ thing is getting addicting.
