Jan. 26th, 2009 11:54 pmAlmost forgot about this *was distracted by chainmail*. I've seen seekers likened to birds in stories and drawn as birds. But I haven't seen the Coneheads done this way, or have seen any diversity in the birds chosen for people's pictures.
I give you Shoebill Coneheads. An east African bird that I thought with it's unique bill fit the Conehead design nicely. Though at first I was tempted to use the Marabou Stork.

Jan. 25th, 2009 11:26 pmIf they have, I'd be surprised. Nudibranchs are not an animal very well known to the general populace. Optimus and Megatron have the shapes of real nudibranchs. At first I was going to try to find nudis that would match their color schemes, but that would have taken too long for the time being. So they just have their colors with nudibranch shapes I felt matched them to some degree. If you have the time, I recommend looking up the Chromodoris and the Dendrodoris, they're both very pretty animals. The picture is something I'm going to come back to after January is over though, there's a panoramic in my head that I'd like to finish.

Now with that out of my system I can say something worthwhile. Pulled this from my this-bunny-looks-interesting list when I couldn't think of anything to draw. I had actually forgotten I had the damned thing, and now I have to search the bunny farm to find who posted it. Since I was stupid and didn't include the link when I saved it. *posts then goes to search*
Found it! Primus this was a fun picture to do. I'm getting really tired of the jpeg degradation though.
