But they're not buying it... )

You can thank utharkitty for the Conehead prompt, well actually it was a Swindle prompt, but they mentioned Coneheads and I just had to draw it. I always seem to get less popular characters as my favorites, even worse, these guys seem to get the asshole ball (forget the idiot ball even if they tend to get that too) often even when people write Decepticons sympathetically.

(Yelch, this is the closest yet to skirting under the wire yet. *drums fingers impatiently waiting for the file to upload*)

I'm back. Thank you for the kind words of support you guys gave when I said I'd been hit by this bug.

In which I announce my return through a bizarre comic. )

ART DUMP!!! )

Now I just need to get to working on all that I missed.

Did this yesterday on the TransOekaki, touched up in opencanvas as I don't yet know how to get certain effects yet. I would have posted it here soon after but sleepland called and told me that my shipment of sand finally came through. I got seven (count them SEVEN not five, not zero, but seven) glorious hours of sleep last night, and it was awesome. And now I'm tired at ten thirty at night, and and that just has me all sorts of happy. But I'm sure you're all bored to tears of hearing some weirdo blathering on about their sleeping habits by now so I'll just post the picture and be done with it.

Almost forgot about this *was distracted by chainmail*. I've seen seekers likened to birds in stories and drawn as birds. But I haven't seen the Coneheads done this way, or have seen any diversity in the birds chosen for people's pictures.

I give you Shoebill Coneheads. An east African bird that I thought with it's unique bill fit the Conehead design nicely. Though at first I was tempted to use the Marabou Stork.

Continuing of off this picture, my mind went and had Dirge unsettled by trees from that point forth. As now he knew that they can make nasty and formitable weapons, that lead to weeks of discomfort afterward before all the twigs, pieces of bark, and other uncomfortables can be removed. So while now personalcannon!Dirge is only afraid of trees when they're used as weapons, this was just too cracky not to draw. And damnit Thrusts' arms are too long.

Dendrophobic Dirge )

*pokes internet* This would have been done sooner, but reference pictures are slagging hard to find. Especially feet, it feels like there's a phobia of showing mechs feet in the screenshots/whatever reference I am able to find.  But cutting off the feets tends to be standard for any reference searching. *mock sob*. And for some reason, firefox no longer likes deviantart. *puzzled*

Frag.

Didn't help I kept getting art block on this thing, or that I was also too stubborn to do something else. I really should refrain from keep on picking on Decepticons. Not only would it be hazardous to my health but it doesn't really help my case when I say I tend to like them more than the Autobots.

Someone should also shoot me for bad dialog.

That said, I've discovered that Coneheads are exponentially more fun and easier to draw than the standard seeker. I'm going to ask for suggestions now, as my Idea Well is starting to run dry. At least for things that wouldn't take more than a day's work.
