For those not the least bit interested in OC's, I've been playing around with another art program I just found. SAI is both similar and different than OpenCanvas, it has a better blur tool for example while their variety of brushes is not as easy to figure out. The first two pictures are a bit inaccurate, I didn't bother looking for references at the time. (nitpicky artist is very nitpicky)

Eurypterids are fun critters, and I admit to being at least a little bit obsessed with the extinct arthropod.

Anyone else a Pitch Black fan? (These first two used the airbrush feature for color, which is really nice in this program.)

More moosebots. I don't know why the one is energon splattered, it just happened when I was finished with everything else. It has me wondering what happened, since the way I seeing their feeding practices this shouldn't have occurred. And I think I've developed an engine glow kink.

I've fallen behind on replies. That will be corrected.

Perhaps the moosebot was being besieged by a predator + bit in self-defense? It's plausible--moosie looks like a big adult that could whoop aft if it had to (+ adult moose are not something to be provoked without repercussion, yes?)

My reasoning:

Moosebot is sitting/laying down/incapable of using its legs/tail at the time (maybe it's the sulky one from before)

Predator happens upon moosebot.

Predator attacks. The energon on the moosebot's shoulder is from where the predator grabbed moosie (presumably, the predator has claws/a hell of a grip)

Moosebot freaks out, can't kick to protect itself (really bad position, esp. when trying to get up from that sulk position), takes a big NOM at predator (what else can it do?)

Predator backs off--even toothless, something like that probably pinches something fierce, enough to draw energon--and flees for easier prey (+ before moosie decides to kick)

Moosebot is now standing, energon from predator staining its mouth.

...Ta-da?

I doubt that even Megatron or Optimus Prime could get out of a physical fight with a Moosebot without needing serious repair. Their hooves and jaws are meant to tear through metals of all sorts. Not to mention the heat and jet wash from that tail, beyond it's use as a bludgeon, could do lethal damage to a careless bot.

The energon on the shoulder is excess splatterdrip from it's mouth. Other than that, your reasoning/story idea is probably as accurate as anything I could come up with.

Yes, I've still got it, kind of. Thank you for your approval of my explanation; I haven't had to explain anything like this since...ever, actually. And now I have learned new things about titanium moosebots to boot.
