Day Thirty One

Finally got my laptop back. And just in time to participate in the crimson_optics comm challenge contest thing. It took a while to figure what I was going to do, but I finally settled on the Robo-Smasher and one of the Constructicons right when they become Decepticons, in this case Longhaul.

Now... to continue my Jan Challenge new year's resolution for two more days to cover what I missed when I didn't have my computer, then I'm done.

And in other news, Onge-Mokoko had her vet appointment and while she doesn't have a complete clean bill of health, she's doing fine. Mostly I just need to give my python more baths. I'm very happy with this vet, he treated my girl with the compassion many people don't give to reptiles and gave me all sorts of sources to make my snake's life even better.

That is gorgeous! It's an extremely well-done Robo-Smasher(and Long Haul too).

Thank you. Really wanted to work with perspectives, lack of lines and proper lighting for once, and the Robo-Smasher did take longer to get right than the time spent on Longhaul so the order of your compliment entertains me in the best of ways.

yep. no memory of yesterday at all. totally don't remember this pic.

*squees at the awesome* the perspective and coloring are amazing! that's like... the perfect angle for some really tense psychological horror feel. <3 the colors are great too, and i really like the way the robo-smasher looks. and poor Long Haul just looks terrified.

...could i possibly persuade you to share this over at [livejournal.com profile] gestalt_love? it is definitely relevant to our interests over there. ^_^

*snickers* You've been so good at catching each day's post, I figured you either hadn't gotten to it yet or missed it.

The tense psych horror feel was exactly what I was going for, thank you for picking up on that. *rolls around in the awesome complements* (got a bunch at the comm too, but they're all short ones that I never know what to say beyond thank you for which feels inadequate yet saying nothing seems rude *at a loss*)

And pffft, course I will. Rather sure I'm a member there already, but I've gone from brain dead to scatterbrained and I really haven't been thinking much beyond the necessities for day to day living.

yeah, i was brain-dead from migraine. ...now i kind of wonder what else i've missed from yesterday. i'll have to go check. tomorrow. *firmnod*

for the short comments, go with thank you unless they've said something that really catches your attention. that's pretty much all anyone expects with a short comment of little substance.

yay! more pretty art to decorate the comm! :D

At least you know you might have missed stuff now.

Thanks, sometimes I still stumble over social stuff and it drives me nuts. The net is easier than face to face stuff but it does frustrate at times.

Going to post after I give my girl her daily bath.

yes, at least i know now. (and i'm very glad that i do!)

you're very welcome. i had the same issue when i first stepped into the internet world, because i had no idea what was appropriate and what was not. i've finally come to the understanding that a short comment on a fic or pic is a lot like telling a little girl she has a pretty bow in her hair. you expect her to say thank you, but not tell you where she got it or how much it cost her mommy.

cool, cool! :D

Been on the internet a long time, but the social aspects still trips me up far more often than I'd like. To be honest, I have problems with social stuff off the net too so it's par for the course, but no less aggravating when it crops up. Internet interactions tend to be easier anyway; what with being able to read what someone says, think about it a while, type a reply, and then being able to go over what your words are before ever pressing enter.

internet interaction does have that benefit over standard verbal communication. *nodnod* now i just wish more people would use it.
