(no subject)

Alright you peeps. Here's what you can do.

Give me a character or critter, be it from a canon or fanon (this is me subtly asking you to poke some of my characters if you please, but feel free to ask for others) source, along with a small prompt and I'll sketch it. I'm also willing to listen to bits from peoples fanfiction or even a bunny farm hopper you wish to see, but I don't know how well that would work for a sketch challenge thingy. The whole thing is to help me not become hung up on my perfectionist tendencies as much, and to get over an annoying art block. You guys just get some (hopefully) nifty art as well. This is not limited to just transformers but if I don't know the fandom, sorry no luck.

Annnnd.... go!

EDIT: ATTENTION!! I'm putting this on a temporary hiatus for what will probably be a couple of days. Due to the fact that I've developed a fever and a nasty cough. (yay, sick again) Requests that are still up will be finished so no worries. And when I start this up again I'll probably just go with a new post seeing as this one has gotten quite full. :D

It figures, the one time I actually want to write the blasted plot bunny out, it runs away. Would have responded last night, but I was distracted by supermassive blackholes, then fell asleep and then had to deal with allergy attacks for most of today.

I can make normal plushies since that's what I made for my Mole Day project in Chem class and gifts we made in Scouts, but I don't really know how to go about making it able to transform. The class was called Action Chem, which was different from the other chem classes in the fact that we did more hands on stuff and very little bookwork, even the exam was fun, they gave you a question and supplies and then you were left to your own devices to experiment and find the answer. I didn't finish because, in my opinion, there wasn't enough time, not that I was too busy pretending to be Wheeljack a mad scientist, no not at all. You can find both the Repo movie and the soundtrack on pirate sites, it's the only way I was able to find it at all since it appears to be such a small production.

One thing ya need to do is to put more info of your OCs up on here. Even if it's simply little random blurbs or the form used for the OC TF lj comm. I'm wondering how some of the other 'Cons would react to the Sauricons wearing Aztec gear, probably think nothing of it, 'till they do a little research on the humans and realize that the one outfit someone is wearing looks like specific ceremonial garb.

Two of the other ideas I had were either Energon splattered Repo Man!Ratchet since you do energon splattered characters so well as evidenced by Sunstreaker up thread, which, by the way, is freaking fantastic and his expression is just so manly levels of creepy/awesome. I especially love the fact that you went with the original energon color instead of blue which most people use. Or your OC Frostbite discovering those races humans compete in using snowmobiles and then proceed to drive them through gigantic mud puddles, especially if a human thought she was a regular snowmobile and tried using her in the race. lookit me babble

Supermassive black holes? That sounds like something to be suitably distracted by. And you have allergies? Ouch.

Going to watch Repo! tonight, wooo.

You are a god. Or a Demigod. You at least have powers. Since you have successfully poked my Sauricons into cooperating and showing me the whole of them to draw out. Finally. And this time you read my mind, as for a while now they've been playing gravity chicken in my head. They invented or had modified it from a seeker game. The purpose of which is to cut off your mode of flight, fall straight towards the ground, getting as close as you can before engaging your antigravs/thrusters/whatever and pulling out. In this case it looks like they decided to up the ante, borrowing one of Scavangers' acquisitions for a target. And you can see why this took me a while to do. And I love your babble, really, it's always interesting and you've got so many great ideas.

Oh, seasonal allergies, how I loath thee. Right now it feels like my head if full of concrete. History, National Geographic and Science channel episodes to download, the Triplets of Bellville soundtrack, a new purchase from Goodwill at half price, the 1 ft long Roboraptor, various Japanese Transformers episodes, painting some gargoyles my mom got me and a mix of fever/allergies, dammit, have kept me suitably distracted for a while now.

*blushes* Eh, I'm nothing special, just pleased I was able to help getting the characters motivated. I'm glad they decided to cooperate, it's nice to finally see the whole of all of them. I know what you mean about finally in concerns of characters, one of my original species has finally decided to solidify its appearance in my head recently. Now, I need to remember how to draw organics to at least scribble that blasted critter down. It doesn't really help that I specifically started designing them without a tail and yet they keep on insisting that yes, they do have one.

Pffffffft. Oh, man, that's epic right there. Poor, poor little rubber chicken. I can assume that Scavenger isn't going to be getting his chicken back, at least in one piece, is he? And all I can say is that I wouldn't be able to do half of the poses the Saurs are in, because I truly fail at that sort of thing. I just love how it progresses from one Saur to another, almost like one of those flip books and the changing in the sky's colors really accentuates it.

Oh, have you seen this site Dapper Cadaver? (http://www.dappercadaver.com/blog/2009/02/) I really like their Monster Monday section.

The fact that it has been snowing since yesterday is not helping. *cries* Where has all the good weather gone? Glad you like all my babbling, sometimes it just feels like word vomit to me.

*winces* My condolences, the only allergy I have is a skin one to mango oil. (I can eat them just fine though XD) Apparently a lot of people have it, as the mango is part of the sumac family. And if you've had a bad experience with poison ivy or poison oak in the past you're more likely to have a problem touching mangos. Roboraptor! That's awesome! All of that does sound like a lot of distractions, glad you're back online. You were missed.

Well then, we'll just have to disagree on the special part. And *pokes aliens* mayhaps they have tails in certain occasions, or the reverse could apply as well.

It may get a bit scuffed but they'll return it in relatively the same condition. They have quite a bit of respect for the ones that created them... I really need to starting writing their story out, or something.

A long time ago I think, *saves to bookmarks this time* And yay, 'monsters'.

The ice is finally melting off the lake I'm at all the time. Went canoeing on it the other day, paddled around ice sheets and marking the season as now spring where I'm concerned.

Well, it's evolved into a dizzy headache/fever thing, that will not go away (that's why it's been taking me so long to respond). I'm hopping if I stay under the blankets long enough, I'll sweat it out. It IS starting to lessen a bit, though. Oh Primus, poison ivy *shudders* I had a really bad encounter (http://heslestor.livejournal.com/8858.html) with it once and now I have a slightly irrational hatred of the plant. Strangely, I have no problems with mangos which may be odd since I juice them a lot, which is weird considering my past experience with poison ivy.

I'm tempted to have the ones with tails be cousins of the ones without, since they have shown me that they're very proficient tree-climbers (they also seem to be a lot smaller, too) and the ones with no tails live far underground, in the middle of a desert. ...Which means I have a lot of rewriting to do now.

You know, have you ever thought what would happen should the programming that made the Constructicons Decepticons came undone? Especially if it was during the early days of the war. (Because in my mind, reprogramming or not, in the later stages of the war, the Structies are quite firmly in the camp of the 'Cons, with the occasional Neutral tendencies.)

I haven't been canoeing in years, but it was a memorable occasion. Haven't been camping for a while now, even, must rectify this immediately. Now, I must convince my parents it's a good idea to go back to Rifle River, like, right now, so we can go canoeing again.

Oh look at that HTML fail.

Oh yuck! Get better soon, maybe with warm weather finally on the way all these germs will back off. Actually I read somewhere that those with a lot of past exposure to mangos tend to have a lesser reaction to poison ivy/oak. *shrug*

Ummm.... sorry? But they sound interesting.

There's been a bunny or two someone's posted concerning that very thing. I haven't really gone in depth with the idea much as I'm still trying to find just what it is that makes the difference between Autobot and Decepticon. And none of that good vs evil categorization, since I have a hard time accepting THAT in our own society. Not to mention what you see of them on both sides, tend to be the higher ranking military individuals who are fully immersed in the war. A bit silly yes, but when there's an inability to swallow the good vs evil plot it makes the whole definition between the two a bit harder to grasp.

It was fun, but not nearly as much as past years. When instead of s l o w l y melting like it did this year, becoming a sheet of slush/thin ice and open at the edges, it splits down the middle. Canoeing between inch/half inch-thick ice sheets is a wholly different experience than any other you could have on a river or lake. I have to be ready for that split though, it doesn't last no more than a day or so before it gets too wide for the effect to occur.

Repo!Ratchet

[identity profile] ink-in-hand.livejournal.com 2009-04-06 09:15 am (UTC)(link)
Well not all of Macabre, a lot of it is annoying screamo.

Repo was simply amazing, thanks for telling me about it. Ratchet was being stubborn about forming until I saw that scene. And please ignore the fact that I messed up his feet.

*squirms in glee* I'm glad you liked it so much. I have an odd obsessive love for science (especially in the medical department) gone wrong scenarios/used wrong or just plain messed up, distopias/just plain messed up futures and the like.

His expression is wonderful as are the Energon splatters (I have no idea why I'm so fond of energon splattered characters, I just am), and now I wanna write Repo!Ratchet more than ever now. Too bad I'm getting zero ideas for it (though it is trying to combine with my Evil!Ratchet bunny, so something's bound to come from it). I'm also wondering what would happen if Ratchet and Sunstreaker were to ever team up and become organ Repo men. Have you seen the merchandise (http://www.cafepress.com/RepoOpera) for Repo (http://www.repo-opera.com/) yet? Halfway tempted to get some of the shirts just on the off chance of scaring some neighbor kids. Screw joining the army, I'm becoming an organ repo man.

For future projects I challenge ya to try and do Vector Prime in all his intricate clockwork glory in Movie verse style or a group shot of Steelbeat in full dance regalia and Aztec!Sauricons having a 'friendly' little dance competition at a pow wow. Have you done anymore work on other Cybertronian wildlife? The alloygators have recently caught my eye since apparently using Circuit-Su to disassemble one in a single strike is a huge feat. I wonder if they live in the Rust Sea and if so, what their camouflage would look like...
I am also keeping a list of ideas so I can randomly spam you with them.

Oh! Have you ever heard of the Darkman (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darkman") movies? I think you may like them, they are some of my favorites.

Re: Repo!Ratchet

[identity profile] ink-in-hand.livejournal.com 2009-04-17 06:09 am (UTC)(link)
Repo both made me laugh and cry, a major feat alone on either account much less together. Those kinds (distopias) of movies scare me far more than any horror movie I've ever seen. I still haven't worked up the courage to read 1985 after seeing parts of the film. But I love the plots revolving around where everything is just screwed up and there isn't really a definite villain because they're screwed up as well. And then I just really like mindfuck movies straight out, but those tend to have to be written well to be effective.

Peeling off the armor, sorting through the wire. Laser cores and processors, parts repossession is a job of which I'll never tire. *cough* Forgoing my mediocre attempt at lyrics, I think I should be bothered that life fluid spatters come naturally when I draw. *grins* I'm glad you like it so much, though I'm sorry you didn't get into the prompts until later. And oooh I haven't seen the merchandise yet. Isn't a consumer whore. Really. But that one logo shirt looks nice. Now I'm tempted to be a repo man for Halloween. *snerk* Rotti wants YOU to be a Repo!man. Where do I sign up?

Eheheheh... movieverse Vector Prime... oh primus. No I haven't worked on the wildlife all that much recently, too much real life drama and trying to finish pictures I've committed myself to finishing. But... check out my new post.
*feels all kinds of special because of your list*

*this is getting slightly old* No I haven't. Reading the wiki page has me interested though, I'll see what I can do to watch them.

That's one of the reasons why I want to get the Silent Hills games, because they're suppose to be all about the psychological horror instead of solely relying on gore to scare people. Then there's a book I read a few years ago, and I can't remember the title to save my life, but it's about a future that is completely controlled by the government. More so than in most other stories like that. You don't realize quite how wrong everything is, until the main character keeps on seeing something wrong with an apple that he and his friend are tossing to each other. Its learned that what he was seeing wrong was in fact him seeing color for the first time, that's how much the gov has control of the population, everyone now only sees in black and white.

The one moment in the film, where Nathan's all 'we have been betrayed' that gave me some serious chills right there. Then there's the song, I Didn't Know I Loved You So Much, which gets to me every time I hear it. You shouldn't be worried by splattered life fluids coming so easily to you. Because it could be worse, at least it's not other types of body fluids. [personal profile] eerian_sadow kind of read my mind with the cassettes prompt, though. I was going to post something about the more under appreciated cassettes, like Glit, Overkill, Sundor, Rosanna and the like. Just be glad I didn't ask for Movie verse Primus or Unicron. *snorts* I'm a loot whore, so I'm not even going to pretend otherwise, thus, I want the posters, shirt, tote bags and journals. And now I really, really want a Repoman costume. Just because. It doesn't even have to be Halloween. And I'd just have to put a little grey chevron or something on the helmet, too. Along with an Autobot logo.

Alright then, how about these books; Incarnations of Immortality, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Incarnations_of_immortality") Coldfire Trilogy, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coldfire_Trilogy) and the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Chronicles_of_Thomas_Covenant,_the_Unbeliever) What? *innocent look*

The Fatal Frame games are all about the psychological horror as well, but they're really hard to find. And that is a creepy sounding book, I couldn't imagine living in a world without color. Or being controlled so thoroughly. *shudder*

That song is the part where I cried, so sad. Oh yuck. You're right, that is worse.Yes I am glad you didn't ask for either of those, they're complex enough in their G1 forms to begin with. And while it'd be interesting to give it a go, I have way way too many pics I need to finish before I start something like that. Did you notice that the Repo mask looks kindof like Grimlocks' head?

*puts books on to find and read list* Thanks for the recs, I've not heard of any of these. Sorry I can't think of any for you at this time, almost all of my personal library consists of non-fiction books. Though, have you seen the movie Hard Candy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hard_Candy_(film))?
