Make up day #2

Have had this sitting unfinished for the longest time in my files, and with nothing really clicking for today's piece getting an incomplete pic done seemed to be the next best thing.

The concept was to design a four legged dragon that could conceivably fly. So instead of the foreleg musculature attaching to the breastbone, like you see in most every depiction of this kind of dragon, the wing muscles do giving it more strength for it's important flight limbs. The front 'legs' are intended to be modified and highly specialized ribs, thus no real hand or foot to speak of.

And I really need to just find something other than photobucket and their jpeg converting ways to upload pictures, all the nice blood details are lost.

what a clever design. i love the additional realism for the dragon; there's never been a traditionally designed dragon that could realistically be able to fly without the use of magic or good storyteller bullshit.

and i love that he's a messy eater! something that can't hold eating utensils would be, and you've depicted that very well here. :D
