Jul. 13th, 2009 12:20 amThe flying was fantastic.
Really I can't think of any other way of describing it. I was only allowed to control a few things like keeping the wings level, maneuver a couple of turns and an arc through a pitch of up and down. Don, the guy whose plane he has a share in, then showed me what you can really do with that. Weightlessness that makes you wish you were a bird was experienced and I ended up calling myself Sky Drunk by the end of the whole thing. It was half an hour of sheer joy.
The only downside is that to do this (weather related issues) it was getting out the door at 5:30 in the morning, and thanks to my night owl tendencies and an inability to shut off my brain, I had one hour of sleep. But I don't care, I went flying. :D It helped that I then crashed after getting home. This also meant that I was up in the air when dawn broke.
