The Ccoa is South American, though which country I'm not entirely sure as the sources I found were a tad bit contradictory. Peru, most likely. It's rather small compared to many monsters, with a body length of about two feet and a tail twice that. Still, its' ability to rain hail from its' ears and glowing eyes and a command of many storms makes it formidable and quite feared. Especially when one has crops to worry about.

And since the descriptions I found of the Ccoa described it as grey and striped, I choose a cat native to Peru that's small and striped to base it on. The Andean Mountain Cat.

On an artists note, I've discovered how to draw lightning quickly and realistically today. I am very pleased. It was also a challenge figuring out how to portray hail coming from its' eyes without making it look like it was crying.
