Revisiting an older character that I created about two years ago during this very same challenge, and gave her a hat. I've gotten a little better at drawing the endomorphic body type, though I'm still not to the point where I can do them confidently. In my mer world I want a whole slew of characters who have weight to them and to have it be considered normal and downright healthy. And even beautiful. Because being skinny is not healthy or beautiful for a lot of people out there, and representation matters.

I'm skinny, I'll always be skinny. I'll never know the bigotry that fat people experience every day. But I do see it. and I refuse to be a part of it. Will I screw up? More than likely, it's an insidious social disease that we're all born into. But I can at least try toreate characters who don't feed into that poison.

As for my Thuridilla lineolata mer? She's a singer and song writer of power ballads.
