That may be true, but it will still bother me. It's more of a professional thing, you know.
I will eagerly take all blame if it results in reactions like this. For the Autobot's reactions, well, it really depends on what way I want to go with it. *muffled snickering* Now I'm seeing Tor another nickname could be Pedo, which I'm sure he wouldn't like after someone explains the human definition of, which, before they found out, someone would shorten to Ped and then pedped/pedepede.) as being all cautious around Hotzone at first, since he's the kind that is experimenting almost all the time and it's not exactly a good idea to be really physical when someone's doing that (as many found the hard way with Wheeljack) and the fact that 'Zone's a pretty no touchie bot himself. Then, for some reason, he makes an off hand comment/signal/whatever which Tor takes as permission to imitate a curtain, and from that point forward, won't quit. Especially since many are of the opinion that Hotzone either was a Decepticon at one point or IS a 'Con and is trying to hide the fact. He and Red Alert really don't get along that well. And finding him all buddy buddy with a while unit of them isn't going to fly well with them.
Oh, good luck with the height thing. Since it's kind of impossible to pin a single measurement to every mech, mainly because of the whole mass shifting thing going on in G1 and the fact that scale is, well, you'd go insane trying to figure that out for the TF universe. Just look at the TF wiki entry for scale (http://transformers.wikia.com/wiki/Scale) to see what I mean. Basically, I go my their alt modes and take cues from Movie verse as well. This is the best for Movie verse I could find. And I'm positive some are still wrong since I kept getting conflicting data. Optimus Prime - 28' Ironhide - 22' Ratchet - 20' Alt length: 122.8 in Bumblebee - 16' Jazz - 14' Alt mode length: 157.2 inches
Megatron - 35' to 40' Blackout - 33' Alt Length: 88 ft. Scorponok - 9' Starscream - 31' Alt Length: 62 ft. 1 in. Bonecrusher - 25' Alt Length: 27 ft. Brawl - 25' Barricade - 16'
The preference for hand to hand should come in handy, particularly with their alt modes. It'd certainly come as an element of surprise in the battle field when instead of doing the expected, they hand the Autobots their afts the old fashioned way. And really, not that shocking considering who they are. At least, it makes sense to me, what with their alt modes, origin and all that.
