I have both size AND stealth on my side. I'd still be small compared to a moosebot though, wouldn't I?
Pffft, at least you're aware of any continuity errors and trying to keep them to a minimum. The same thing couldn't be said for canon.
Hmmm, they could still keep that as a sleeping behavior. Maybe because keeping the iris open would allow them to share heat better while being positioned like that would keep out anything unwanted. Or where recharging like that is more of a social thing as well. I've picked up some good ideas from watching a vid about the Mars land rovers.
The malnutrition would make sense, since their self-repair systems would have to be better than mechs since they don't exactly have medics and the like. So they'd have to heal everything on their own, by getting the minerals and other things they need by consuming it. And once those sources of nutrition are gone, their bodies follow rather quickly. Them being shipped off planet reminds me of the one Star Wars book I have. It's full of a bunch of alien life forms from across the galaxy, it even includes things like pet markets and circuses and animals escaping captivity and surviving on their own. The main one though, are the animals that were shipped off Alderaan before it was destroyed, making the animals all but extinct except for the small numbers on other worlds. Mostly the Thranta.
