Not exactly sure where the last several months have gone. Really, think November got skipped entirely even. And I realize I've posted nothing since September, which... my bad.

But!

But, but but... I'm back. For January at least, since I'm not giving up what's become my traditional New Years' Revolution. A picture a day for an entire month. This time, I'm even more screwed. I only /just/ started dong art again, well more like painted some glass ornament bulbs as gifts (don't worry Eerin, I haven't forgotten about yours. Haven't started, but I haven't forgotten) and that's the most I've done art wise since pretty much my last post.

This art drought is killing me. Seriously, started this picture right after I got up and minus a few other things I had to take care of today, it took until now to finish.

So, hi again everyone. Hope your lives have been good for you since I've been gone (again) and that whatever troubles you did have were minor.

As for the picture, the alloygators have developed a bit more in my mind and I figured I'd draw one out. In part because of all that I've been able to do lately are animals. But also to show some of those aspects. Such as individuals being able to tell apart by the jaws/teeth, as each one would be unique, along with preserving my sanity in drawing group shots from now on.

It also shows a bit of how I see their life cycle. I see their reproduction method as budding, the last few segments of their tail start taking on definition and eventually become a new alloygator that drops off when its' far enough along. This method allows the young alloygator to be present in hunts and learn social behavior and all sorts of other life skills, cutting critical development time to almost nil, plus it doesn't get in the way of its' parent during all of this. (in fact, having an extra set of eyes and razor jaws on your tail can actually be a good thing) Of course this means that any alloygator looking to bud needs to be strong and healthy to handle the extra material and fuel demands a budding would demand as well as being able to handle a truncated tail until it grows back. But to get back to my point, alloygators start life out as super thin thanks to starting out as a narrow tail, then get wider and bigger as they get older.

And I forgot a leg... slaggit.
