Weekend art

A character I'm developing for Void if I ever get the guts to join. Xiuhcoatl is an actual part of the Aztec mythology, if relatively unknown. The top picture is the snake you see wielded by Huitzilopochtli; a sun god, a war god, the patron deity of Tenochtitlan and was often portrayed as a hummingbird. Huitzilopochtli is one of my favorites of the Aztec pantheon, and while I can't remember exactly when I decided to give his snake a personality, I'm glad I did. But the human design needs work, as while I'm striving for an androgynous look, I don't want Xiu to look childlike either. And yes, I can pronounce all those names. Also, if you understand some of the reasoning behind his love of cocoa, you are awesome beyond measure.

Over the weekend I had an art spree, some of it due to my melancholy mood probably. Not all of it is finished, so there will be more to come at a later date. Anyway, it led to more Fossil Fuel dinosaurs. Enjoy.
