A character I'm developing for Void if I ever get the guts to join. Xiuhcoatl is an actual part of the Aztec mythology, if relatively unknown. The top picture is the snake you see wielded by Huitzilopochtli; a sun god, a war god, the patron deity of Tenochtitlan and was often portrayed as a hummingbird. Huitzilopochtli is one of my favorites of the Aztec pantheon, and while I can't remember exactly when I decided to give his snake a personality, I'm glad I did. But the human design needs work, as while I'm striving for an androgynous look, I don't want Xiu to look childlike either. And yes, I can pronounce all those names. Also, if you understand some of the reasoning behind his love of cocoa, you are awesome beyond measure.

Over the weekend I had an art spree, some of it due to my melancholy mood probably. Not all of it is finished, so there will be more to come at a later date. Anyway, it led to more Fossil Fuel dinosaurs. Enjoy.

Snaaaaaaaaaaaake! *squee* *melts* Ahem. Sorry 'bout that, but snakes are such lovely creatures, plus this one is such beautiful shades of blue. Anything with wings, or feathers, and scales are a huge weakness for me.
*wonders if he knows to put m&ms in the cocoa so it tastes even better* Food of the gods and all.

Because glowing dinosaurs ROCK
Why yes, yes they do. Their glow looks almost radio active, which I like. Can't wait to see Fossil Fuel when it's finished. Just from the pictures and description from before this looks good. *pets floof on his head* *hand gets chomped off* Awww, isn't he the cutest little thing ever! Ya, if dinosaurs really did come back to life, you can probably tell how long I'd live.

*snickers* Have you heard of Quetzalcoatl then? And now you have my curiosity piqued, I'll have to try m&ms in my cocoa next time. Chocolatl is the true term, or Xocolatl depending how you choose to interpret the translation. Chocolate is simply one of those bastardized words that everyone thinks is the real one. Cocoa and Chocolate (http://www.gutenberg.org/files/19073/19073-h/19073-h.htm) is an amazing book [if old] that tells you nearly everything you wanted to know about where it comes from and whatnot. It's filled with all sorts of nifty tidbits of information that you'd probably never find in a modern book.

You are definitely going to love one aspect of the plot then. And your compliments are simply delicious, I feel all motivated now.

Oh, I was hooked on Quetzalcoatl the moment I heard plumed serpent. Not to mention all the nice art work I've found of him. (I'd really love to get a tattoo of him on my arm but I am poor and tattoos are blasted expensive.) Hershey kisses are also good in cocoa, and brownies, too. Then again, my brownies are obscenely gooey since I double batch everything anyway, and on top of that, undercook them a little bit, too. Chocolatl? Hmmm, I'll have to see if I can start a new fad; that just sounds so much better than chocolate.

*flails* Why have I not found this site earlier?! Seriously, free books. Everyone I know is going to be even more upset with me after I literally marry my computer.

You're just teasing me now, aren't you, but I'm glad I can get you all motivated. My comments are delicious, but the important thing; are they nutritious? Okay, I'll stop now.

Completely random into. I was researching Cherokee mythology last night and stumbled upon one of their monsters. Nun'Yunu'Wi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nun%27Yunu%27Wi) I don't know whether to be offended, or amused. I'll go with amused for now.

If you also go around using the tree's name I doubt anyone would know what you're talking about. If you can, do try the recipe they give you, it's really good even if it takes more effort than one is used to when making hot cocoa.

And I didn't mean to tease you, I apologize.

I'm going to go with the theory that it's the white writer being high when he wrote that.
