Mythology: Cu Sith
Dec. 10th, 2008 01:45 amA giant of dog, the Scottish Cu Sith is the said to be the size of a bull or cow, has green fur and was known for kidnapping women for the faerie to provide milk to give to their children. As well as for being a harbinger of death. Pronounced 'coo shee' it's name literally means fairy dog.

Ah, this was fun. I'd forgotten how entertaining perspective stuff could be, and I really needed to start working on my list of mythology-to-draw that I wrote near the beginning of this journal. As always, some artistic liberties were taken. I have no clue if the Cu Sith really did rip off people's faces or not, but I figured it certainly had more than enough going for itself that it's certainly a possibility.
My list is here if you're interested. But it's very bare, as in despite being as long as it is, there's only one other pic I've done.
