Taking it easy one more day, the arm is pain free and there's only just the slightest twinge to my wrist that I hope means it'll be healed up tomorrow enough to get back into the swing of things. Slowly though, just to be on the safe side. So in the meantime, let me tell you how well the cat that showed up on our door is doing.

Jasper is recovering fantastically. His eye cleared up within days and is good as new. And as you can see with the photo, put on a lot of the weight that he needed. He looks almost like another cat and I know I wouldn't be able to wrap my finger around his waist now. In fact, he's doing so well, that we've been told that they're going to start looking for a forever home for him soon. The other cat in the photo is named Stitch, and they've become buddies while they both strengthen up.

It's kind of bittersweet, since both Heslestor and I fell in love with the little guy but there's no conceivable way we could keep him. He was such a sweetheart the whole time we had him, brief as it was. So much sadness to be had on letting him go. But on the other hand, he's being taken really good care of and the rescue does it's best to screen the adopters to make sure that the homes are best suited to the animals they help.

The Lucky Day Animal Rescue is on Facebook should you like to see more pictures of him and the other animals they've helped.
