Day three -late-

Um okay, I'm terribly late with my third pic (Three and a half hours! @_@). But I have a good reason, giftart for people who are having a rough time of it I just can't do a half-assed job at, and I spent far mopre time on this than I allocated myself. That and my wrist started hurting thanks to not drawing for so long and then suddenly doing the most I ever do during a year, so even though my art block was more or less gone my progress was reduced to a crawl.

(Guh, never thought animated would be as hard as it was, the meadowlark was so much easier. Definitely making what should be today's an easy one.)

honestly, i don't know much at all about Liggul, aside from the fact that they'd had her forever. (she was 13.) i'm trying to think if Wick mentioned any habits she had, even and i can't think of a thing. sometimes cats are a sensitive topic for me, since i lost mine in the eviction and had those two kittens die, so she tended to combat that by not talking about them at all. i can poke around in her journal though, when it's less impending bed time for me, and see if i can find anything else for you to work with.

you know, i totally understand where you're coming from there. after losing Teddy (my Australian Shepard) in high school and then the kittens a few years later it really made me sympathetic for the losses others went through. i've hugged strangers to comfort them over the loss of a pet before. and i really appreciate you reaching out to her. she's such a great person, but not always comfortable with people, so there hasn't been nearly enough comfort for her during this.

*nods* Had Abby for twenty years, russian blues apparently have the longer lifespans any housecats can have. It's hard losing a pet any day, but losing one who's companionship you've had for a long, long time is even harder. But yes, it'd be helpful having more on Liggul, checked her tag but there was only the one entry.

That's the other thing that makes this weird, I'm not all that comfortable with people either. (animals are so much better) The amount of participation I've had in this fandom was/is an unusual thing even with all the dropping off the face of the net that I do.

nope, went through her whole journal and there's only the one entry mentioning Liggul. and i'm reluctant to ask her to talk about her kitty right now, because i don't want to move her backwards in the healing process. (she was in such a good place today!)

it's interesting, the things that push us outside our normal social boundaries. i guess this was just the right time and the right circumstances for you to be able to give comfort to someone who desperately needed it.

lol, it was a compliment, in a kind of round-about way. (i wrote it at bed time, so it's not surprising that it makes less sense than normal.)
