Bored. Bored, bored, bored, bored.

Rotary explores an unorthodox use of the washracks (where else in a desert would water for his plants be readily available?) while Trailbraker looks on. Trailbraker doesn't seem to be a character who's drawn all that often by fans, and he just fit well for the situation. If he's even half the nature lover fans make him out to be than he'd be a washrack regular. Admittily, I don't know much about him but I get a kick out of giving attention to characters who tend to fall beneath the fan radar.

More of Rotary's photocat. Red Alert is now regretting for allowing it to stay that first time.

And my guilty pleasure prehistoric reptile decepticon team.

A lot of stuff I don't post is my just playing around... ie lots of notes, scribbles and crossouts. Some that don't stay the moment I save (or beyond drawing it before I even get to saving), since yes, the above IS supposed to be movieverse Torpedo even though movieverse is crossed out. As a good majority of it is like this (the above is actually a CLEAR example) I don't share themmuch as it'd be too much effort to explain a bunch of doodles I don't even know if people are interested in seeing.
And because I'm feeling random, have a gas mask bra. Exactly what it says on the tin. Guys are screwed though. Still bored.

Long post is really fragging long
on 2009-10-27 06:30 am (UTC)You're right, on many accounts. Rotary can't very well wait for the occasional desert rain to water his thirsty plants, so off to the racks we go; Trailbreaker is very rarely written, much less drawn (my guess is he just popped in for a quick wash, then he's back to the great outdoors as soon as he's cleaned), so kudos to you; is that graffiti someone's drawn under the washracks sign or is it just a placeholder that you decided to keep; and that photocat (has it got a name, just curious) is such a happy kitty, following its mech everywhere, even the racks...
Oh LAWD, that has happened to everyone who sits in the home computer chair, but instead of leaping + laying on our shoulders, Cima reaches up + rakes our backs until we pet her, or she jumps from chair to table + plants herself in the space between keyboard and computer to let us know that she's what counts in the world. Poor Red...I'm sure he'll eventually sort-of-tolerate the photocat...sometime...
Prehistoric reptiles, mischief, walruses, odd sleeping positions, and group portraits--you're hitting all the best points of some of my favorite things, aren't you?
Oh yes movieverse...in the meager break time I had (1st family visit since moving back to campus; this is why people w/ no sense of time management/organization should leave home before getting the most out of their last vacation), I managed to watch the 09 movie (my quota of splody, shiny, and holy blazes was summarily + happily filled)...and now I want to see your design swimming around in the deep. Possibly confusing the hell out of a submarine crew and/or staring @ sea life to boot.
And that's it. Whew. So...get any sleep since we last heard from each other? I sure haven't.
Fragging long post is appreciated
on 2009-10-27 08:35 am (UTC)Dunno why, Trailbreaker seems a lot more pleasant than most of the popular mechs *coughstarscreamcough* the fans go crazy for. It originally was just going to be Rotary and Trailbreaker, but then his photocat bounded in. Apparently, a dislike of water isn't one of the stereotypical things he/she/it/they share with our cats (passing the many, many kinds that don't mind getting wet). The not-graffiti is nameless photocat thinking how enjoyable getting cleaned of all the dirt will be, I just forgot to make it look more like a proper thought bubble.
Ours just meows, loudly. And sometimes she just sits in your lap for maybe five minutes before going "welp, I'm done" and then jumping off even if she annoyed you for twice that long. And please take into consideration, in a house that has five people, ONE is The Lap. You can guess who they are and the first four don't count. Red Alert is mostly annoyed because, while the photocat is there, it's had many a millennia of working with Rotary learning how to grab attention without truly getting in the way.
It's because I'm psychic like that.
Movieverse really lets you explore the alieness of the whole premise. All the little parts too! *looks at bunny that was sat down* *bunny looks at Ink* *starts looking for escape routes* *tries to remind self that they have a moosebot project to finish* *tries to ignore the mental image of movieverse Torpedo hassling a submarine* Aw hell.
Actually yes, but it's really weird sleep and I've been waking up at eight in the morning almost on the dot. Which is odd because there is no reason for it to have changed like that, or shift to an early time I don't need.
Why thank you!
on 2009-10-28 03:22 am (UTC)There's always the excuse that photocats dream in sketches--who knows how animal memories appear?
As much as Cima baffles us, I can't imagine life without her again; however, since the diagnosis, she's more active when awake, despite the walnut-sized mass in the base of her front leg.
Fandom gives you psychic powers! Otherwise Soundie's been sneaking 'round...
And how. Have you read Tainry's Borealis series? Those designers must have migraines persisting to this day. It's wicked awesome and a curse @ the same time, especially for fan-artists. *sends natural predator of bunnies to assist--did it work?*
Huh. That's interesting.
Checking email at just the right time FTW
on 2009-10-28 03:57 am (UTC)*thinks* Well now that's an idea. That thought bubbles=sketches, now whether that's just for critters, or people people, or everyone is up in the air. And that is very true, humans really don't have much of an idea how our fellow life forms function.
For a while there, Soundwave was more or less the official mascot of the bunny farm. With the way most posts now are only a few, he probably got bored and started wandering around the fandom.
The name doesn't ring any bells, though I might have read it. What's it about? The way every shot is blurry and that there isn't a lot of reference pictures out there for any minor character is also a pain. The idea is on the back burner for now. *working on mooses*
Yes, indeedy.

(Any attempts to explain it would result in me sounding like an idiot; you must see it for yourself.)
Yay, moose-bots!
