Oh man, my hand and fingers hurt. And I almost, almost forgot how to do fur. I wanted to draw one of it's feet waving at the camera, but I ran out of time. The hazards of taking an unexpected nap I suppose.

Today's is another less popular mythological man-eater. This time it's a vocal mimic from India or Ethiopia (not sure which is more accurate in terms or origin) called the Leucrocotta. It's teeth are not teeth at all but a line of sharpened bone, which makes me think of the Marsupial Lion but that's another matter, and it's mouth reaches all the way back to it's ears. According to Pliny (yes that Pliny), it is the size of a donkey, has the head like a badger, the mane, chest and tail of a lion, and cloven hooves.

What makes it so dangerous to humans, is its' ability to mimic anyone's voice. It'll call out to people, sounding like a friend or loved one, using their name to lure them away from a group and/or safety.

Pretty sure there was something else I wanted to say, but damned if I can remember.
