January Challenge 2013: Day Three

Oh hey, color theory! Tried a couple of things I learned yesterday, and I think I might finally be able to keep How To Do Color in my head now.

The merman is based off of the Sea Pig, a kind of sea cucumber that lives in the very deep of the ocean. And yes, they're very tentacled, I didn't exaggerate the number of them here. And I can see Vortex being one of the ones who finds these sorts of disturbing-to-the-masses creatures simply awesome, if just because sticking them in somebot's faceplates get the most entertaining of reactions. :P

Yes, yes he is. And I'm sure he's not going to realize just what it means to boneless until the merman squeezes out whatever box or container Vortex dumped him in and makes a break for it.

Oh man, the Sea Pig merman is just such a delightful-looking little creature, I can't blame Vortex for wanting to keep him!

You should see the real animal, fascinating as hell. And I most definitely didn't do it justice. :3
