January Challenge 2014: Day 1

Once upon a time I promised Ultharkitty that should she ever write Ma-Grrr fic I would draw a something from that story. Months later, I’ve finally done so. Though I spent waaaay too much time on this, that I did. And I had a really hard time find references for Blot. I want to say more, but my brain is tired even though I took a rare nap today.

But hello everyone! Seems like I only post stuff for this challenge of mine anymore but it's good to be back. Though no, I don't plan on the rest of my pics being this complex.

Oh wow, she is glorious, and Blot is so adorable! She has exactly the bulk and slinkiness I was imagining, and her colours are perfect (the blue works so well against the reds and oranges).

I've been grinning about this since I saw it on my phone at early-o-clock this morning. Thankyou so much for drawing it :D

Oh good, I was worried a little about conflicting mental images of her. It's good to know that I got her right. Getting the right combination of recognizable dragon and yet still keeping to an out there design was fun. And while it doesn't show well, I imagine her horn is much like a power conduit for energy beams mounted in her mouth. (so much red @_@)

Brain, why? Perhaps her skills in welding is why there's a little piece of Cybertron on her world. Another thought I had about her horn that I forgot to mention, is that having the power systems all bound up tidy like that keeps the bulk of it out of her neck where things are more likely to go wrong.

*snickers* Good lord, Blot. Finding references for him outside of his G1 look was pretty much impossible.

Do you do Pokemon art? Because i've had this odd craving for an illustration featuring Prowl and his pack of Eevee evolutions from my silly Transformers and Pokemon 'verse.

It's been a little while but yes, I do Pokemon art. So no problem. Your story is posted on AO3 correct? Just want to make sure so that hunting for it won't cut into too much computer time, as I got eye strain pretty bad today and I don't want a repeat you know?

And yep, it's over on AO3. The Transformers with Pokemon microfics have their own series and they are part of my "tiny treats" collection as well. I'm eerian_sadow over there, same as everywhere else. In my headcanon, Prowl has one of every Eevee evolution (though i don't expressly say it in fic) so any combination of bot+eeveelutions will make me quite happy.

Done and done! Thank you for letting me know right where it was, made today much easier. Though I'm sorry I didn't get more than two of the eeveelutions in there. Today was a little busy with a visit from my mom and needing to shovel ten inches of snow from the driveway. (and it looks like I'll be shoveling the same amount tomorrow too. |P)

Tiny Blot is tiny now. He was very much terrified in the beginning of Ultharkitty's story. :D
