So know you know what Rotary was so happy to see, his photocat. Who I still haven't been given a name for because apparently  it doesn't translate well from a visual language.

That said, been wanting to update the photovoltaic pussycat design ever since I picked up the book titled Practical Photovoltaics. (and yes, wanting to make these guys as realistic as possible has nothing to do with my picking it up) Learned a few things that make a few parts of their design obsolete, like the top part of their panels being colored, with photovoltaics they're made black to collect every scrap of light possible. Thickened the support struts for the panels too to strengthen them. The claws and pads on their feet aid in climbing, as a photocat would want to be as high or in a place where there's lots of light and grappling and gripping tools would help with that. Uh... *prods brain into cooperating* You can't see it from this angle but the 'ears' are another set of sensors for light, think the pits on a reptile that pick up infrared heat.

One more thing, their tails. Instead of being a bulb or an LED, their tails are chambered and translucent, holding gases that light up when given an electric charge. Neon lights if you will. Looking up noble gases and their colors make for some really nice eye candy, simply need to figure out what needs to be done to get all the other colors I want.

Thank you! Cybertronian wildlife is my proudest (and that's saying a lot, don't get proud easy) contribution to the fandom, too bad all they ever were in canon was in a single line uttered by G1 Bumblebee.
