January Challenge 2013: Day Twelve

The game and the fandom at large are long dead, but I still love it. I mean, this is just one of hundreds of creatures from the game and it's a stalagmite 'dragon'.

 

(I'll get my extra picture in tomorrow, did a number of unexpected errands today. Including finally getting my muffler replaced, which I had put off for as long as I could since ~monetary funds~. I suck at this)

at first glance, this looked much more mineral than animal, but i read you comments and looked back and now all i can see is this awesome creature, with some badass natural camoflage. it's brilliant!

That's so great to hear, I wasn't sure if I had pulled off the mineral part of the creature well enough to pull at the viewer that way. Admittedly the pillar hyren isn't as realistic on the card as how I depicted it, but it's really fun to take something from a more simplified style and try to depict it as though it could really exist.
